10:10 - The Loyalton transfer station burn pile was lit.

10:21 - Sierra County Deputies conducted an assembly with Loyalton High School Students, educating them on 911 call protocol.

13:12 - Welfare check requested in Goodyears Bar, but the involved party was not home.

14:41 - The Downieville School notified the Sheriff’s Office that its fire alarm was being serviced and may go off.

13:45 - The Sheriff’s Office determined that a report of suspected child abuse was unfounded.

16:55 - Family members were arguing in Alleghany.

21:26 - In Loyalton, adults were reportedly having a “verbal and minor physical altercation” over the parenting of a child.

22:24 - A deputy and another driver almost hit a golden retriever with a reflective collar on the highway in Sierraville. The dog was too fast for the deputy, who could not capture it after stopping his vehicle.

Saturday, April 12

10:30 - 911 hang-up. The caller did not answer return calls or texts.

12:29 - Child custody dispute in Pike.

12:35 - Someone reported finding bones near the Downieville Post Office propane tanks. They turned out to be that of a deer.

Sunday, April 13

01:07 - A male in Pike was requesting law enforcement to assist after having a fight with a drunk female. When the deputy arrived, the female had left with an unknown sober driver. The reporting party didn’t know who the female was, where she went, or who the unknown driver was. He also did not want to press any charges.

06:57 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

08:30 - Medical assistance requested at Crystal Peak.

09:27 - Dead deer on the highway between Union Flat and Ladies Canyon.

11:45 - Broken-down vehicle on Highway 49 near Sierraville.

13:31 - Extra patrol requested in Sierra Brooks.

13:38 - Someone was running stop signs in Loyalton.

14:43 - Someone needed help getting keys out of a locked vehicle.

16:28 - Someone called to ask if lost property had been turned in to the Sheriff’s Office in Downieville.

18:15 - Dog problem in Calpine.

19:11 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

20:11 - Lost property in the Loyalton area was found and returned to its rightful owner.
