17:17 - Deputy provided a ride to Bordertown for a citizen. Anytime I read “Bordertown,” I can faintly hear the sound of slot machines. A warm sensation begins to cover me like a blanket- Oh my lands, I’m getting a case of the gambling fever! Nope, just a menopausal hot flash. Well, if you do play- play responsibly!

17:54 - “Downieville local with several ties to the community passed away.” Condolences.

18:21 - “Sierra County Sheriff’s Office transported election ballots from Loyalton to Downieville.”

17:57 - ATV drivers possibly breaking the law near Chilcoot reprimanded by deputy. Must be tiring educating folks on recreational driving laws. But it’s probably tempting as hell to cut through a little patch of street to get to where you need to be. Suppose I’d rather be “admonished” over this type of thing versus peeing in the bushes (a reference to previous week’s Blotter).
