Here we go again: “Report of juveniles jumping from the Durgan Bridge.” As I turn 50 next month, reflecting on my own wild teen years…I am simply glad I lived before most of society became chained to a device. And while I don’t want to condone anyone breaking the law or putting themselves or others at risk- I have to smile at this lot for at least being brave enough to put their phones down this summer and live! For those whose halos are too tight and teeth are grinding at what would seem a sliver of support for this activity, I am considering writing an article about bridge jumping in our town and the safety and legal implications thereof.

13:45 - Bear trying to access grocery stocked vehicle in Sierra City.

15:09 - Loyalton driver found required paperwork avoiding citation.

15:49 - Around a Truckee boat ramp, a dog has reportedly been locked inside a vehicle for the past 6 hours. USFS notified. I’m working on my salty language. This entry makes it challenging.

Have you ever slept so deep you wake up in a panic thinking you overslept your entire workday and didn’t pick the kids up from school only to realize it’s Sunday?
