Marlene Marie (Cartwright) Nelson passed away on November 3rd, 2024. Both her son Brian and daughter Jolene predeceased her. She left behind her daughter-in-law, Gale Blass, a grandson, Craig Blass, his wife, Mary, and their one-year-old son, Brian, who was named after Craig’s dad. She also left behind a granddaughter, Amy Schroeder, her husband, Justin, and their great-grandkids, Tucker, Turner, and Tritt.
Marlene was born into a farming family in Fremont, Nebraska. Her parents bought a farm in Nemaha, Iowa, and Marlene was raised in that small farming community. She had lived in Graeagle, California, for more than 22 years. She was very active in politics, the Graeagle Community Church, and many other organizations. She will be greatly missed.
Marlene Nelson’s Memorial service will be on Sunday, December 8th, at Graeagle Community Church in Graeagle, California, at 2 PM.
