Laura Slocumb Oldham

Laura Slocumb Oldham, age 72, of St. Simons Island, Georgia passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. She is predeceased by her parents, Colonel Clyde B. Slocumb Jr. and Carlotta Thibaudeau Slocumb. Col. Slocumb commanded the 75th Flight Squadron Flying Tigers and was a founding member of the Thunderbirds Flying Exhibition team. Her mother, Mrs. Slocumb, was a 1st Lieutenant, RN, in the US Army Air Corps.

Laura is survived by her husband, Robert Oldham, her brothers, Clyde B. Slocumb lll (Alice) and Thomas A. Slocumb( Brenda). She is also survived by sisters, Mary Catherine Cagnina (John) and Christine M. Walker.

Laura had a very interesting life, born a "military brat", she traveled many places and lived in England. Her family legacy and fondness for all things military and patriotic led her to be a supporter of many veteran organizations such as Wounded Warriors. She was a retired California attorney and member of the California Bar Association and the Federalist Society. She worked for FLETC and enjoyed the friendships she made there.

A favorite pastime for Laura was walking her beloved dog, Sophie and talking to her many St Simons friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

Internment will be in a private cemetery in Franklin, TN.
