DOWNIEVILLE — It’s almost time for Fireless Fireworks, the grand finale of Downieville’s 4th of July parade at Noon on the 4th! The tradition has the town march on bubble wrap rolled out on Main Street.
The three rolls of bubble wrap (4’ x 250’) cost $576.26, including freight. So far, local businesses and organizations have pledged $458. Your donations are welcome. There are donation tubs at Downieville Grocery and Sierra Hardware. Or, if you want to donate by check, please make your check payable to Ingrid Larson and either deliver it to Ingrid or mail it to her at POB 564, Downieville, CA 95936.
Any excess donations will be given to Cindy at Sierra Hardware to cover the cost of prizes for the 4th of July foot races.
