People v Matthew Alan Cooper (23CR0105, 24CR0004)

On July 7, 2024 Matthew Alan Cooper was convicted of violating Penal Code 243(e)(1), domestic battery and Penal Code section 273.6(a), disobedience of a domestic violence restraining order. He was placed on 2 years probation, sentenced to 3 days jail, attend 52 week batterer’s program, 10 year firearm ban, and pay fines of $1,235.00.

People v. Wallace Addison Marsh (23CR0077)

On August 8, 2024, Wallace Addison Marsh was convicted of violating Vehicle Code section 23103/23103.5, reckless driving, alcohol related. He was ordered to take a DUI class, participate in the victim impact panel, placed on 1 year probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $1,405.00.

People v. William Robert Doolittle (24CR0034)

On August 20, 2024, William Robert Doolittle was convicted of violating Vehicle Code section 23103/23103.5, reckless driving, alcohol related. He was ordered to take a DUI class, participate in the victim impact panel, placed on 1 year probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $1,405.00.

People v. Emma Blanche Shaffer (24CR0001)

On September 10, 2024, Emma Blanche Shaffer was convicted of violating Penal Code section 261.5, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, and Penal Code section 118, perjury. She was sentenced to 2 years prison, required to register as a sex offender and participate in a sex offender program.

People v. Dae Hwan Han (24CR0028)

On September 24, 2024, Dae Hwan Han was convicted of violating Penal Code 452, causing a fire and Public Resources Code section 4423.5, restricted use of fire for two separate fire incidents. He was placed on 1 year probation, and ordered to make a $1,000 donation to the Downieville Volunteer Fire Department and $1,000 donation to the Sierra City Volunteer Fire Department.

People v. Nicole Marie Kaiser (24CR0012)

On September 24, 2024 Nicole Marie Kaiser was convicted of violating Penal Code section 270, failure to provide for a minor child. She was placed on 2 years probation and directed to take parenting classes at the direction of probation.

People v. Steven Kylib LaBlanc (24CR0057)

On September 24, 2024, Steven Kylib LaBlanc was convicted of violating Vehicle Code section 23152(b) driving under the influence. He was placed on 3 years probation, ordered to take a DUI class, participate in a victim impact panel and pay a fine of $1,856.00.

People v. Carrie Ann Bradley (24CR0037)

On September 26, 2024, Carrie Ann Bradley was convicted of violating Vehicle Code section 23152(b) driving under the influence. She was placed on 3 years probation, ordered to take a DUI class, participate in a victim impact panel and pay a fine of $1,856.00.
