10:01 – In Alleghany, someone vandalized the transfer site.
11:14 – In Pike City, a welfare check was requested for a female walking down to Grass Valley. A deputy made contact and will be following up with Health and Human Services.
12:59 – In Downieville, while responding the report of a bicyclist with injuries, a motorcycle victim was also found. The motorcycle rider was flown out and the bicyclist was taken by ambulance.
17:26 – In Sierraville, someone was arrested for battery.
19:49 – In Sierra City, there was a 911 hang up. When called back, there was a buzzing on the line followed by a high pitched beep.
21:00 – At the Cold Creek Campground, there was a report of a campfire. A deputy found the fire was in a permitted pit.
Tuesday, June 21
11:15 – In Loyalton, there was a report of a verbal argument. The parties were contacted and agreed to avoid one another. Agree to disagree.
17:16 – In Loyalton, there was a report of a trailer parked and being lived in on a property for three weeks. Other trailers were located and all trailer owners were informed of city code. A deputy will check on them at a later time.
19:01 – In Sattley, there was a report of a female walking along the middle of A23. The deputy was unable to locate the female.
23:38 – In Sierra City, there was a report of a possible missing person. The missing person was found safe camping with no cell phone service.
Wednesday, June 22
02:56 – In Downieville, an individual passed away.
13:47 – In Sierraville, there was a report of an aggressive dog.
15:18 – In Sierra City, an ambulance was requested for a passed out hiker.
15:47 – In Sierraville, gasoline was stolen from a vehicle.
18:21 – In Downieville, a citizen needed a lift.
20:25 – In Loyalton, a vehicle was stolen. CHP handled the report.
21:46 – In Sierra City a pesky illegal camper left trash behind. The USFS was notified.
Thursday, June 23
12:59 – In Loyalton, a nosy neighbor was snooping around someone’s property. No deputy contact was requested.
13:05 – In Downieville, there was a 911 abandoned call.
13:07 – In Downieville, the alarm was sounding on the open ATM.
14:30 – In Downieville, a citizen requested extra patrols at the Catholic Churches in Sierra County.
14:58 – In Sierraville, there was a report of a reckless driver. Deputy Wheeler was unable to locate the driver.
17:13 – In Downieville, there was a request to sign off on a ticket for registration.
18:03 – In Sattley, some elderly individuals were on the side of the road with a broken down vehicle. CHP handled the incident.
19:55 – In Sierraville, the Sierraville Ranger District was handling a smoke check off of HWY 89. They were unable to locate any smoke in the area.
20:35 – In Goodyears Bar, individuals were having a dispute about money that was loaned to the other. The deputy spoke with the reporting person and explained available options.
Friday, June 24
11:34 – In Sierra City, a welfare check was requested. Individuals were found to be fine, they just had no cell phone service. There is decent cell phone service at the top of the Buttes in case you want to hike up to make that urgent call.
12:15 – In Downieville, someone needed medical assistance for a cut foot.
13:43 – In Downieville, some folks were not playing nice and yielding to one another on the Jersey Bridge.
15:31 – In Downieville, there was a report of shots being fired.
17:03 – In Sierraville, someone was driving recklessly but they got away before the deputy was able to find them.
17:28 – In Goodyears Bar, there was a request for an ambulance.
18:44 – In Downieville, there was a possible theft of utilities.
19:09 – In Sierra City, there was a report of an overdue hiker/camper around the Buttes. The deputies were unable to locate the individual. The reporting person called back to say the overdue hiker was no longer in the area.
20:19 – In Sierra City, there were suspicious individuals looking through windows. Deputies made contact with the individuals and provided directions to their destination.
21:12 – In Sierraville, a male was throwing items at moving vehicles. Neither SCSO or CHP were able to locate the man.
21:48 – In Downieville, there was a report of a single gunshot fired. The deputy was unable to locate anyone in distress or any suspicious activities.
Saturday, June 25
12:48 – In Sierraville, some motorcycles were speeding on HWY 89. CHP was notified.
13:46 – In Loyalton, a civil service was completed.
15:18 – In Sierraville, a truck hit the roof of the Sierraville gas station and left without providing their insurance information.
15:33 – In Downieville, there was a 911 hang up.
17:11 – In Loyalton, there was a report of smoke near Babbitt Peak. USFS was notified.
21:00 – In Verdi, there was a traffic offense.
22:49 – In Chilcoot, someone was arrested for driving under the influence.
23:28 – In Loyalton, Eastern Plumas Health Care Ambulance (EPHCA) was requested.
Sunday, June 26
05:04 – In Loyalton, EPHCA was requested.
05:55 – In Sierraville, someone was arrested for domestic violence.
07:48 – In Sierra City, there was a report of smelling smoke after a day of lightning strikes. No smoke or fire was seen. The Fire Department was sent out to check the area.
08:45 – In Sierra City, a side by side was driven on the highway. A deputy was to make contact at a later time.
09:37 – In Loyalton, a dog escaped from their residence. The owner was contacted and given a verbal warning.
13:06 – In Downieville, there was a report of an abandoned trailer. The deputies were unable to locate the occupants. They will continue attempting to locate the occupants.
15:32 – In Truckee, someone was arrested on a Sierra County warrant.
16:45 – In Downieville, a loose dog was picked up along the side of the road and brought to the Sheriff’s Office. The owner was contacted and retrieved the pup.
21:35 – In Pike City, a motorist was found stranded and was provided directions to the campground they were looking for.
22:17 – In Loyalton, EPHCA was requested.
