Monday, May 23 –

03:47 – In Loyalton, EPHCA (EPHCA) was requested.

11:31 – In Sierraville, there was a fire between the USFS building and school. Units on scene discovered that a mower had caught some grass on fire. USFS had the fire out quickly.

11:53 – In Pike City, a resident passed away.

11:55 – In Loyalton, EPHCA was requested.

Tuesday, May 24 –

14:03 – In Goodyears Bar, there were several bear break-ins. One time the residence was occupied during the bear’s breaking and entering. The reporting person was provided contact information for the game warden. I hope the number is now on speed dial!

17:40 – In Loyalton, EPHCA provided a lift.

19:08 – In Loyalton, EPHCA was needed.

19:49 – In Downieville, there was a report of a single shot fired somewhere in the forest.

20:40 – In Downieville, there was a possible loss or theft of a wallet.

Wednesday, May 25 –

01:02 – In Loyalton, EPHCAwas requested.

04:03 – In Sierra City, there was a civil dispute. The reporting person was provided information regarding how to contact the Sierra County Court to resolve the civil issue.

07:54 – In Sierraville, there was a request for a civil standby.

08:28 – In Nevada City, a Sierra County inmate contracted COVID-19.

10:59 – In Sierraville, some citizens were concerned about speeders in the area.

13:40 – In Sierraville, an ambulance was requested for a motorcycle accident.

14:22 – In Downieville, the school was testing the fire alarm.

17:21 – In Pike City, there was a report of a possible online scam. It was determined that no crime was committed after speaking with a deputy.

Thursday, May 26 –

09:39 – In Loyalton, a 911 caller needed the number to the Loyalton Pharmacy.

12:30 – An inmate was picked up at Kern State Prison and transported to Nevada County Jail.

17:47 – In Loyalton, EPHCA provided a lift.

22:02 – In Loyalton, EPHCA was requested.

Friday, May 27 –

11:02 – In Downieville, there was a 911 call from the Communication Dept. to make sure the lines were working correctly.

12:24 – In Sierraville, medical care was needed for someone having a possible heat stroke.

14:03 – In Calpine, there was a motorcycle accident. The patient was transferred to Portola.

21:44 – In Sierra City, there was a suspicious vehicle with the doors open and music playing. A deputy responded and found no music and the vehicle secure.

22:40 – In Downieville, there was a report of a possible parking issue. A deputy responded and found the vehicle was not blocking any road access.

Saturday, May 28 –

09:27 – In Sierraville, there was a request for a civil standby.

10:16 – In Pike City, there was a civil dispute over water rights. The reporting person was informed to contact Sierra County Superior Courts for issue resolution.

12:22 – In Sierra City, a civil standby was requested for service of an eviction notice.

13:08 – On CA-70, a deputy found a puppy in the middle of the road. The puppy was reunited with its owner. Happy story!

13:44 – In Sierraville, someone was burning natural debris in an open clearing. They were notified of the burn ban and extinguished the fire.

17:34 – In Sierraville, there was a report of a possible drunk driver. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

20:58 – In Downieville, someone lost a GPS device.

21:31 – On CA-49 at Coyoteville, a person was arrested for driving under the influence.

Sunday, May 29 –

12:13 – In Sierra City, there was a report of smoke. After a short search, the source of the smoke, a residential burn, was located.

13:42 – In Calpine, someone called requesting assistance removing a vehicle stuck in the snow. The reporting person was advised of tow companies in the area. The reporting person called later and stated that a passerby was able to assist.

15:08 – In Sattely, there was a report of a single vehicle accident. CHP, EPHCA, Sierra County Fire and SCSO all responded.

16:30 – In Downieville, there was a report of a stolen bicycle. After a short search, it was determined by the bicycle shop that the bike was still out on a rental and to disregard the call.

17:17 – In Loyalton, there was a report of a civil service.

18:31 – In Loyalton, a deputy conducted a probation search during a traffic stop.

21:27 – In Chilcoot, Nicole Knezevich was arrested for a Lassen County Warrant. She was transported and released to the Lassen County Jail.

21:47 – In Downieville, there was, in fact, a bicycle theft.
